6 years with my ex-company, I had created a few range of best selling in-house Office System products.
One of them was at that point of time, known as the Maxxa System.
Comprising of both paneling (developed by another of my colleagues) and desking solution, it was a product which I had been proud of and is been used in many of the MNC projects handle by the company.
Citibank @ Changi Business Park was a significant project for me as not only it was my last with the company, it was also a milestone with more than over 4000+ workstation and it is still growing as the project repeats.

Basically all the point they had requested wasn't very hard to achieve based on the existing functional of the System proposed.
Except for the requirements of to provide a fully implemented Cable Management Solution which had to be seamlessly incorporated into the System minimalistic design , to be fully modular and to be easily assembled and disassembled by a their own staff.

A new extrusion was specifically design to form part of the modular cable tray which will offers full Cable Management Solution as requested by the client.
As for the for the next two trickly specifications, thoughts had to be put in to solve it and make sure it works for non-technical people on the ground for the assembling and disassembling of the system.
Because, to be fully modular (able to be reconfigure, interms of different numbers of benches together, single or double sided configuration) and to be easily assemble and disassemble by their own staff is somehow tied to each other.
As for the for the next two trickly specifications, thoughts had to be put in to solve it and make sure it works for non-technical people on the ground for the assembling and disassembling of the system.
Because, to be fully modular (able to be reconfigure, interms of different numbers of benches together, single or double sided configuration) and to be easily assemble and disassemble by their own staff is somehow tied to each other.
After countless hours of late nights and over 30 sets of full scale prototypes later, a solution was found.
Special Bracketries was designed, and the complete solution was redesign around the ease of installation process was formulated.
In which not only we manage to achieve all the client's request but also pass one of their test during the company's fight to win the job. A time trial of setting up a complete workstation.
The entire system was designed so flawlessly so that a laymen could easily assembled or disassembled the workstation without the requirements of complex equipement or non at all, that we were the fastest in setting up.
And this not only help the company in winning the tender, it had also ease the installation process of over 4000+ workstation within a very short time frame.
